The BAYERBoost Scholarships are offered to tertiary and senior secondary school students studying inenvironmental science or related areas. Students can be awarded up to $6,000 to assist them to work on a project over the summer in consultation with a host organisation. Candidates for this Award are asked to write an essay, short story, poem or group of poems, short play or other
work dealing imaginatively with any theme. This $2,000 Prize (administered by the University of Canterbury) is
open to all undergraduates, and graduates of not more than three years’ standing. Regulations and application
forms are in the display racks outside the Scholarships Office, in the ITS Building (which is located at the lake
end of the Gate One car park).

These scholarships are offered to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have completed at least one year of study within the Waikato Management School. The awards of up to $2,500 are to cover travel costs for students to attend a foreign University for a semester, while gaining credits for their UoW degree and only paying their regular New Zealand fees.
