Applications are invited for Graduate Teaching Assistantships at the University of Salford, based in one of its nine Research Institutes. There are 16 scholarships available, starting in October 2008.Graduate Teaching Assistantships offer students the opportunity to study for a PhD while undertaking teaching duties in areas usually related to their PhD research.
Successful candidates will work under the direction of an academic staff member on a range of teaching activities, up to 180 hours over the academic year (based on an average of six hours each week).
The scholarships are worth £12,940 per year (2008-9 levels) over three years and are available to international students.

- Green Infrastructure
- Hydrology and Ecology of Glacier-Fed Streams
- Climate Change, Glacier Mass Balance and River Flows in the Alps Since the Little Ice Age Maximum
