Post-doc Position in Data Mining and Machine Learning

The Constraints and Machine Learning research group at the Laboratoire LIFO  is seeking post doctoral candidates with background in Data Mining, Machine Learning and Data Analysis methods for a one year appointment starting at the latest in January 2010.

Requirements:

The prospective candidates must:

• have a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics (at the latest in November 2009).
• not have the French citizenship and not be member or doctor of a French university
• have knowledge in the theoretical aspects of one or more of the following:
  • Machine Learning : Statistical and Relational Learning
  • Clustering and categorization
  • Evaluation methodologies
  • Data Analysis
  • Knowledge Discovery
  • Generative Models for Data Mining
• have well-developed social skills directed to work in a team;
• have a good command of English

The position offers:

• a full time appointment for a period of 12 months
• about 1900 euros net monthly salary
• attractive and good working environments
