PhD position in solar energy technology
University of Florida US – PhD thesis in the field of solar thermochemical production of synthetic fuels. Solar Thermochemistry uses concentrated sunlight to drive endothermic reactions that produce CO2 neutral fuels. The work includes thermodynamic analyses and experimental as well as numerical investigations of heat and mass transfer phenomena coupled to chemical reactions under intense solar radiation.
Applicants should have a M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, or a related area. A solid background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics is desirable
To apply: Candidates are kindly requested to provide an application letter, CV, and transcript of grades via email to Dr. Joerg Petrasch, petrasch@ufl.edu
Employer: The University of Florida is one of the leading public research universities in the United States
