Master in Molecular Life Sciences – career chance for technicians

This programme is intended for Bachelors or Masters in Life Sciences and for laboratory technicians with a similar educational background who would like to further their careers. The education gives them the chance to develop to professionals who can independently plan and manage projects of a few months duration.

The international programme Master in Molecular Life Sciences is designed for technicians who aim to further their career.

During the study, competences are acquired that enable graduates to take more theoretical responsibility in research & development and to function as junior project leaders. The programme is divided into four theoretical and one practical module. During the theoretical modules, knowledge in different areas in molecular life sciences (Infectious Diseases, Carcinogenesis and Industrial Biotechnology) as well as skills to independently plan and carry out projects are trained in an integrated way. During the practical Master thesis module, students can apply their competences by performing a project in a biotech company or another R&D institution.

The study programme focuses on applied research and product development and leads to the title Master of Applied Science. It is an internationally accredited master study and courses are given in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The programme can be followed full-time in one year and part-time in two years, making it possible to combine study and work. Bachelors with knowledge and practical skills in molecular and cell biology can directly enter the programme.
