Postdoctoral Fellow in Parasite Immunology, James Cook University – Australia

A postdoctoral researcher is sought to join the Helminth Biology laboratory in the Queensland Tropical Health Alliance at James Cook University in Cairns, Australia.

The successful applicant will explore the roles of hookworms and their secretory proteins in modulating autoimmune pathogenesis.

The successful applicant must be very independent, show leadership qualities and be willing to supervise postgraduate students.
Experience and a publication track record in the immunology of murine models of helminth infections is highly desirable.
The project requires a substantial amount of animal work and involvement in clinical trials.

The Helmith Biology laboratory consists of a large and multidisciplinary team of postdoctoral and postgraduate researchers exploring the molecular basis of host parasite interactions.
