A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Prof. William Ja at The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Florida. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary effort to investigate genetic pathways involved with aging and metabolism using fruit fly (Drosophila) and cell culture models. Initially, studies will focus on genetic and biochemical approaches to characterize fly genes that modulate longevity in response to nutrition.
