in 2007 the German Industry Scholarship Scheme that has started in 2001 will be phasing out. Until now 107 students have been supported through this program. Many have successfully completed their studies and are now working for national and international companies in Indonesia, others still continue their studies. All scholarship holders have been given the opportunity to learn some German and a small group even made it to the intermediate level some time later.

Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany performs a special program so-called with FORESTRY, MARKETS AND SOCIETY Freiburg International Summer School on July 2nd – 13th, 2007.
The programme is designed for young scientists working in the field of forestry and other related fields of natural resource management. One aspect is to offer participants an opportunity to gain knowledge in economic, ecological and social aspects in connection with the management of forests in Europe with a regional focus on the Black Forest, a mountainous region in the southwest of Germany. Ten PhD Fellowships - Plant, animal and microbial systems University of Cologne
The Graduate School offers a high-level PhD programme with research opportunities in cellular, molecular, developmental, physiological, neuro-and evolutionary genetics and genomics. Plant, animal and microbial systems are equally well represented.
The three-year programme starts with a six-month rotation and course period, followed by a PhD project in one of the participating groups. Seminars and training courses complement the research work.
