A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Prof. William Ja at The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Florida. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary effort to investigate genetic pathways involved with aging and metabolism using fruit fly (Drosophila) and cell culture models. Fellows’ appointments are subject to the consent of their department chair and the approval of the Dean. Tradition has restricted fellowships to professors in humanities departments of the College of Arts and Sciences, though faculty members holding regular appointments elsewhere in the university are welcome to apply if their work is closely related to the year’s theme and if their Dean is willing to provide their salary during their appointment at the Society.

Symantec will award Symantec Research Labs Graduate Fellowships to outstanding Ph.D. and M.S. students who meet the eligibility criteria listed below. The Fujitsu Scholarship provides full financial assistance for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training in the East-West Knowledge Leaders Program (EWKLP) at JAIMS. The EWKLP has a three-month curriculum, which synthesizes the best practices of both the East and West. The participants will sharpen their global management knowledge and skills, and build the confidence necessary for success in global business situations.
