Postdoctoral position in lung development and cancer
Employer: University of California-San Francisco
Location: San Francisco, CA, United States
Expires: May 01, 2010
Post-doctoral position available to study the molecular mechanisms of lung development and cancer, using mouse as a model system. We focus on the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway. We investigate how Hh signaling controls lung development and pulmonary stem cells, and how aberrant Hh signaling leads to lung cancers. In all of our studies, a combination of mouse genetics (transgenic and knockout mice), cell biology and biochemistry are employed. Read the rest of this entry »
Evolutionary systems biology lab, Laval University, Canada.
Chosen candidates will study the evolution of signaling networks using genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics tools. Projects will aim at understanding the evolution of protein-protein interactions among signaling molecules and the role of gene duplication in shaping these networks. The budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and its relatives will be used as models but other relevant species could also be used. Read the rest of this entry »
