{"id":1120,"date":"2010-01-01T17:20:38","date_gmt":"2010-01-01T17:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=1120"},"modified":"2010-01-15T17:31:31","modified_gmt":"2010-01-15T17:31:31","slug":"kaust-fellowship-for-ms-degree-programs-and-phd-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2010\/01\/01\/kaust-fellowship-for-ms-degree-programs-and-phd-students\/","title":{"rendered":"KAUST Fellowship for MS Degree Programs and PhD Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KAUST is committed to attracting high-caliber students, and providing a stimulating, rewarding, and challenging environment in which to live and learn.<\/p>\n<p>You can apply to KAUST through the KAUST Fellowship.<!--more--><br \/>\nThe first step in the application process is to select the program you are interested in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applied Mathematics and Computational Science (AMCS)<\/li>\n<li>Bioscience (B)<\/li>\n<li>Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE)<\/li>\n<li>Chemical Science (ChemS)<\/li>\n<li>Computer Science (CS)<\/li>\n<li>Earth Science and Engineering (ErSE)<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering (EE)<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Science and Engineering (EnSE)<\/li>\n<li>Marine Science and Engineering (MarSE)<\/li>\n<li>Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering (ME)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><br \/>\nTo  apply for the KAUST Fellowship, you must meet the following eligibility  requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have  completed your bachelor\u2019s degree in a   KAUST-relevant  field of study by  the end of June 2010.<\/li>\n<li>Current field of study must be in a KAUST-relevant area, such as Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical, Chemical and Biological Sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum  cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent in other international  grading systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ability  to enroll at KAUST in 2010.<\/li>\n<li>Must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 6.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) before application will be considered for admission. Only official TOEFL or IELTS scores will be accepted. TOEFL or IELTS scores for tests administered by an educational institution for admission to that particular institution are not acceptable. A TOEFL or IELTS score is not required if the applicant is a native speaker of English or received a degree from a university in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. KAUST&#8217;s university code for the TOEFL exam is 4107.<\/li>\n<li>Must submit official GRE scores before application will be considered for admission. Our university code for the GRE exam is also 4139. Please use this code to request test scores to be sent to us.<\/li>\n<li>Official university transcript from every institution previously attended. We have provided downloadable file below that may be helpful in obtaining records from institutions you have previously attended. If circumstances prevent this deadline being met, KAUST will give consideration to applications received after January 15, 2010 for as long as places in the relevant degree program remain available.<\/p>\n<p>The preferred application deadline for PhD students is January 15, 2010.
