{"id":1379,"date":"2010-06-24T20:01:58","date_gmt":"2010-06-24T20:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=1379"},"modified":"2010-06-24T20:01:58","modified_gmt":"2010-06-24T20:01:58","slug":"new-zealand-international-doctoral-research-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2010\/06\/24\/new-zealand-international-doctoral-research-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Zealand International Scholarships are funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand. <strong>New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS) are open to all international students who meet the eligibility criteria<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/category\/scholarships\/scholarship-from-new-zealand\/\">New Zealand<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/international-scholarships\/\">International Scholarships<\/a> reflect the New Zealand Government&#8217;s commitment to deepening New Zealand&#8217;s educational partnerships with participating countries and regions. The New Zealand education system provides students with the knowledge and skills to achieve results equal to the world&#8217;s best. The scholarship programme is about sharing this excellence with the rest of the world, and bringing the best from elsewhere to share their knowledge with New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>* Amount awarded &#8211; 10 places are awarded each year<br \/>\n* Closing date &#8211; 15th July annually<\/p>\n<p><strong>NZIDRS scholarships include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> full tuition fees for thee years of full-time doctoral study<\/li>\n<li>NZ$20,500 per annum living allowance (NZ$1708.33 per month).<\/li>\n<li>up to NZ$600 annual health insurance allowance<\/li>\n<li>NZ$2000 (across 3 year tenure) travel allowance. This is intended to be used for conference attendance and field research<\/li>\n<li>NZ$800 (across 3 year tenure) book and thesis allowance<\/li>\n<li>NZ$500 one-off establishment allowance. Only to be paid to those students who are travelling to NZ specifically to take up the NZIDRS. No student already located in NZ is eligible to receive this amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional funds are not available to support accompanying dependants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NZIDRS application close date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NZIDRS closes to applications on the <em><strong>15th of July each year<\/strong><\/em>.  Applications will be accepted from early May until 5pm (NZ time) on Thursday the 15th of July 2010. Please note that NZIDRS applications received after the closing date and\/or incomplete applications will not be considered by the selection panel under any circumstances.
