{"id":1902,"date":"2011-01-31T09:41:49","date_gmt":"2011-01-31T09:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=1902"},"modified":"2011-01-31T09:41:49","modified_gmt":"2011-01-31T09:41:49","slug":"korean-government-scholarships-for-international-master-and-doctoral-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2011\/01\/31\/korean-government-scholarships-for-international-master-and-doctoral-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean Government Scholarships for International Master and Doctoral Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students in order to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship between the participating countries.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Scholarship value\/inclusions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Airfare: A round-trip economy class ticket<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Allowance: 900,000 won(KRW) per month<\/li>\n<li>Research Allowance: 210,000 won for students in human and social sciences; 240,000 won for students in natural and mechanic sciences per semester\n<\/li>\n<li>Relocation (Settlement) Allowance: 200,000 won upon arrival<\/li>\n<li>Language Training Fee : The full costs up to 1 year<\/li>\n<li>Tuition: All admission fees are waived by the host institution. The full tuition is paid by NIIED.<\/li>\n<li>Dissertation Printing Costs: 500,000 ~ 800,000 won for the costs related to a printing dissertation<\/li>\n<li>Medical Insurance: 15,000 won per month(limited insurance coverage) will be provided to the university for students.<\/li>\n<li>Special fund for students proficient in Korean language (TOPIK level 5 or 6): 100,000 won per month(Commencing from the main program)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Both applicant and his\/her parents must be citizens of the foreign country.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants cannot have Korean citizenship.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should be in good health, both mentally and physically, to stay in Korea for a long period of time.<\/li>\n<li>Should be under 40 years of age as of 1 September 2011.<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree as of 1 September 2011.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants who are enrolling or have already enrolled in the same academic program in Korea as the one they are applying for will not be admitted.\n<\/li>\n<li>For Master\u2019s program (or Integrated Master\u2019s &#038; Doctoral program): students who hold a Bachelor\u2019s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than Bachelor\u2019s degree\n<\/li>\n<li>For Doctoral program: students who hold a Master\u2019s degree or a diploma that is equivalent to or higher than Master\u2019s degree.\n<\/li>\n<li>Applicants who are expecting the adequate diploma should present their diploma by September 1, 2010 before entry.<\/li>\n<li>Should have a grade point average (G.P.A.) at least 2.64 on a 4.0 scale, 2.80 on a 4. 3 scale, 2.91 on a 4.5 scale or grades\/marks\/score of 80% or higher from the previous attended institution.<\/li>\n<li>If the grade is difficult to convert to percentage, official explanatory documents from the attended university are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Further Korean Government Scholarships information and application<\/strong>:<br \/>\nScholarship Website <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.niied.go.kr\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.niied.go.kr<\/a><br \/>\nand visit the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mofat.go.kr\/english\/regions\/asia\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">Korean Embassy (Consulate) website in your country<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Korean government offers scholarships for international students who wish to study master and doctoral program at university in Korea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[84,5,4],"tags":[216,1025],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.7.1 -
