De Montfort University is committed to supporting international students to benefit from study in the UK. For courses starting in September 2007, De Montfort University\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Vice Chancellor is delighted to offer 43 scholarships of \u00c2\u00a31000 each to overseas students.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The \u00c2\u00a31000 scholarships will be paid towards the full overseas tuition fees of overseas-status students from any country in the world who wish to study any of the following types of courses at De Montfort University, Leicester:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time undergraduate degrees in any subject<\/li>\n<li>Full-time Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters courses in any subject<\/li>\n<li>Full-time MPhil\/PhD research degrees in any subject<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scholarships are available for courses starting in September 2007 only (or between September 2007 and June 2008 for MPhil\/PhD research degrees).<\/p>\n<p>The \u00c2\u00a31000 scholarship will be made as a one-off payment and will be deducted from the full tuition fee at the beginning of the first (or only) year of study.<\/p>\n<p>Students progressing to DMU through one of our established progression schemes or collaborative partnerships do not qualify for these scholarships. Bursaries specific to each progression scheme\/collaborative course may be available separately. For details, please contact Sue Brookes, International Development Manager, at sbrookes@dmu.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p>Only overseas status students are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>We will award up to 43 x \u00c2\u00a31000 scholarships for the above courses starting in September 2007. There will be a limited number of scholarships awarded by Faculty:<\/p>\n<p>* Faculty of Art and Design: up to 5 scholarships*<br \/>\n* Faculty of Business and Law: up to 25 scholarships<br \/>\n* Faculty of Computing Sciences and Engineering: up to 5 scholarships<br \/>\n* Faculty of Health and Life Science: up to 3 scholarships<br \/>\n* Faculty of Humanities: up to 5 scholarships<\/p>\n<p>* Excludes BArch (Hons) Architecture and PGDip Architecture. Includes Masters courses starting between January &#8211; May 2008.<br \/>\nPlease note that a few of our courses are not included in this scholarship scheme.
