{"id":337,"date":"2007-12-09T14:16:09","date_gmt":"2007-12-09T14:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2007\/12\/09\/international-postgraduate-scholarships-in-engineering-and-surveying\/"},"modified":"2007-12-09T14:16:09","modified_gmt":"2007-12-09T14:16:09","slug":"international-postgraduate-scholarships-in-engineering-and-surveying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2007\/12\/09\/international-postgraduate-scholarships-in-engineering-and-surveying\/","title":{"rendered":"International Postgraduate Scholarships in Engineering and Surveying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>USQ Faculty of Engineering and Surveying offers a number of scholarships to commencing International students who intend to undertake a Master of Engineering, Engineering Research PhD or Master of Engineering Technology full-time, on-campus at USQ in Toowoomba or Springfield.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship value<\/strong><br \/>\nScholarships for the Master of Engineering and Engineering Research PhD will be paid to the value of 50% of tuition fees. A stipend of $10,000 is also available to assist with living expenses. Students also have the opportunity to earn further income through input into the academic program by marking and tutoring.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarships for the Master of Engineering Technology will be paid to the value of 25% of tuition fees only.<br \/>\n<strong>Conditions of eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The scholarship will be forfeited if:\n<ul>\n<li>the recipient changes their mode of study from on-campus to external or from full-time to part-time study<\/li>\n<li>the recipient changes their program of study to a different program offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Surveying or another Faculty<\/li>\n<li>the recipient cancels their enrolment in the program<\/li>\n<li>the recipient graduates from the program<br \/>\nor<\/li>\n<li>the recipient fails to maintain an academic achievement level of at least 60% average.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Scholarship will be deducted from the student\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tuition fee.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships are not transferable to a third party under any circumstances.<\/li>\n<li>The Faculty of Engineering and Surveying, reserves the right not to award the Scholarship in a given year.<\/li>\n<li>Applications must be received by the closing date and in writing on the USQ application form provided.<\/li>\n<li>Students must not be currently studying at USQ in conjunction with any other USQ scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Students must pay all additional fees and other costs according to USQ policy.<\/li>\n<li>Students must meet all conditions of their student visa.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships will be renewed term-by-term subject to the recipient meeting all other University requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships will be calculated on a per term basis.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships are not redeemable for cash.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships may be withdrawn with 10 days written notice should the recipient breach any of these conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Terms and conditions may be changed at any time and the University will provide 12 weeks notice all scholarship recipients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection criteria<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be international students; and<\/li>\n<li>have obtained first class Honours or equivalent including an undergraduate GPA of 80%; and<\/li>\n<li>be commencing full-time, on-campus study at either the Toowoomba or Springfield campus; and<\/li>\n<li>applying to enrol in a Master of Engineering, Engineering Research PhD or Master of Engineering Technology program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Submitting an application<\/strong><br \/>\nTo apply for a scholarship towards a Master of Engineering or Engineering Research PhD degree you must provide a completed International <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/07480capplicforminternational1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Student Higher Degree Research Application Form<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/07480capplicforminternational1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">(PDF 118KB)<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/07480capplicforminternational1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a> along with a completed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/internationalscholarshipapplicationform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">International Scholarship Application Form (PDF 102KB) <\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for a scholarship towards the Master of Engineering Technology you must provide a completed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/applicationform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">International Student Application Form (PDF 151KB)<\/a> accompanied by all certified copies of all original transcripts and a completed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usq.edu.au\/resources\/internationalscholarshipapplicationform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">International Scholarship Application Form (PDF 102KB)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All
