{"id":909,"date":"2009-07-23T17:40:34","date_gmt":"2009-07-23T17:40:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=909"},"modified":"2009-07-23T17:40:34","modified_gmt":"2009-07-23T17:40:34","slug":"ams-undergraduate-scholarships-200910","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2009\/07\/23\/ams-undergraduate-scholarships-200910\/","title":{"rendered":"AMS Undergraduate Scholarships 2009\/10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2009\/2010 AMS Scholarships and Fellowships<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>AMS Undergraduate Scholarships<\/strong><br \/>\nProvider: American Meteorological Society (AMS)<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scholarships are available to full-time students entering their final year of undergraduate study in the fall of 2009.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be majoring in the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic science, and\/or must show clear intent to make the atmospheric or related sciences their career.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be enrolled full time in an accredited U.S. institution, and must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.25 on a scale of 4.0 at the time of application.<br \/>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ametsoc.org\/amsstudentinfo\/scholfeldocs\/undergradscholarship.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evaluation and Selection <\/strong><br \/>\nThe evaluation of applicants will be based on applicant\u2019s performance as an undergraduate student, including academic records and recommendation. Selection will be made by the AMS Executive Committee based on recommendations from the AMS Committee of Judges for Undergraduate Awards. The AMS does not prepare written evaluations of either successful or unsuccessful candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stipend<\/strong><br \/>\nNumber and amount of scholarships vary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease complete all <strong>6<\/strong> sections of the application. Letters of references and official transcripts may be sent under separate cover. All applications and supporting materials must be postmarked no later than the deadline date. Written references will be accepted via e-mail and can be sent to <a href=\"mailto:dsampson@ametsoc.org\">dsampson@ametsoc.org <\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Application packages must be postmarked by<strong> deadline has passed<\/strong>.
